Owner and president of Holiday World, Will Koch passed away last night. I was only able to meet him once. Last year, at Holiwood Nights. Will was running around greeting everyone, serving food, running a theme park, and just being friendly to everyone. I don't know when he slept those two days, but he was always in a good mood and ran everything like clockwork (besides the weather).
Holiday World is the most friendly park I have every visited, I know most of that stems from its leader. He will be greatly missed.

My prayers go out the Koch family and the extended family in Holiday World. I had the chance to meet Will last year during HoliWood Nights and he even sat in with us for our live podcast in the park. He's one of those few individuals that when you met him, you feel like you've known him your whole life. He's the example of leadership, friendship and enthusiasm. He will be missed. _________________ Doug Barnes

Man this was sooooo unexpected. I read he passed because of diabetes but I'm not 100% sure bout that. My prayers and blessings go out to his family. Along with the SPP crew last year I met him too and like Doug said he's one of those ppl u meet once then feel like you've known them forever and that showed throughtout the park at how friendly everyone is at Holiday World. Very saddened by this news.
Wow. This is really sad. We went to Holiday World for the first time last month, and it's run amazingly well. You could tell that the owners truly cared about the guest experience.
