Paul Dexter (Owner of Masterworks Lighting) and Rudy Sarzo (Bassist for Blue Oyster Cult, DIO, Ozzy Osbourne, White Snake, Quiet Riot) join Brent Young (Creative Director of Super 7 and Doug Barnes (Owner/Producer of Season Pass Podcast) to discuss the significance of themed entertainment in rock venues and the efforts in writing, designing, directing & producing these complicated traveling "Experiences." We go 'Off-The-Rails' from the normal theme park talk for this episode, however the amusement industry is not forgotten and well represented during this intriguing and fascinating conversation. Very interesting show! Some may say it not related to the amusement industry but we all know the parks shows have someone in charge of lighting and sound. Keep up the great work!!
It amazes me that so many of us got started in our various careers with the same influences. Like Brent I also became interested in my field after going to a Kiss concert. Which came full circle after meeting them and getting to do a life-cast of Gene. Life is good people...life is good.
Great show this time. I love that you guys are branching out inot other areas as well. Sure it is not what we typically would consider a theme park discussion, but it is still Themed Entertainment and the variation is a welcome one.
