Nostalgia of Disney and such...

Having been so far from Disney and well... any real theme park for a few years now (the random trips back to the US aside) I am feeling a certain sort of nostalgia for all things Disney/Theme park like and came across a couple of sites I was not aware of as well as a Mental Floss article on Attractions that never were.  Thought I would share them, in case any of this is news to one or two of you.

First: Mental Floss Article - 10 Abandoned Disney Projects

Second: The Neverland Files
I just found them interesting..

Yeah, I love to have seen this attraction come to Epcot World of Showcase. I always wanted to see more attraction at World of Showcase. I still think it's a dry area. I mean just mostly shops and restaurant can only go so far. I wish they could bring some more rides and shows attraction to pep up the area. I remember a Japan attraction that was almost  ending up at Epcot Japan which was called "Meet the World" found at Disney Japan, but is now extinct. It was suppose to be the opposite of Carousel of Progress where the stage moves then audiences. Here's video of this extinct attraction.

I remember listing to Lou of WDW Radio do a segment about these same attraction, let me know if you want to know the episode link.

Hey a while back, I posted a rumor that Disney was planning to build a theme park in Australia. I found it on DisneyandMoreblogspot.com, but hey wouldn't you support a Disneyland in Australia, it would be closer.
Here's the link on the Season Pass forums about that rumor.

Sweet as. I had never heard of this ride before.  As for Disney Australia, I would gladly support that!  However I just don't think the ratio of guests/tourist/locals could support the parks in this area.  I would consider moving to Oz if they did open one, just to work there, despite the things that try to kill you (bugs, plants, water, etc).  Lets be honest Dream Park isn't much of a dream and Sea World and Wet and Wild.. really??  No they just can not compare to the variety and themeing of the parks I am use to.

If they ever do consider this area for a REAL park I will gladly volunteer to join the statistical committee...
