Rockit ride; the update.

I was able to make it back up to Universal Studios Florida today.  I was a little disappointed with the Rockit on my first ride, so I was hoping to have a better experience this time.  I was not disappointed this time.

Universal still needs to talk with it's paint supplier.  They have fixed all the real big spots where the paint was peeling, but they still have more small spots popping up.  They still don't have the moving loading system working, but that is where the negativity stops.  I had working sound on my car this time.  I listened to  Klein Mandelbrot, a Blue Man Group song that goes well with the coaster.  My music was loud and clear, but I never heard the Evanescence song my wife was listening to right next to me.  The music definitely improves the ride.  I enjoyed every move that much more, this time.  I also think the ride was smoother.  It wasn't terribly rough the first time, but I didn't even notice any banging, on this ride.

Universal still has to work out the problems with their loading system to get the ride capacity up to where it should be, but I would definitely recommend riding it if you get the chance.

I glad things got better for this ride. I was hoping some good news for Universal after all these deals with Spielberg and Marvel being spotlighted. There was some big anticipation from the people about this ride when I went down there for the summer. The music seems to be what makes this ride work so well. I going down there for Halloween Horror nights, so I get a chance to ride this bad boy. I wonder if you can leave a request for a song? I hope we hear you review on the show about this ride. Those are some fun shows to hear. Very Happy

Good to hear. I think its so neat that you can't hear the song the person next to you is listening to. Question, the song you listen to, is it the whole song playing like normal or does it play parts of the song that kind of "match" the sections of track you're on? If that makes sense... Embarassed

The Blue Man Group song I was listening to, I believe was written for the ride so it was the whole song.  I believe the song my wife listened to was unedited, but I am not real sure.

I was at Universal Studios last weekend and had a chance to ride RRR again.  I have ridden it 5 or 6 times now and I have to say, they have made many improvements.
It has taken a while but they seem to have gotten their capacity up.  I only waited 10 min to get on the coaster (at 9:40am).
The sound system is still the best of any rollercoaster I have ridden.  If you were waiting for Universal to work out the bugs, I think most of them are gone.

Universal has also figured out how to stop the paint from chipping in the queue.  Stainless stee makes everything better.

That's awesome to hear.  The way this coaster started off was not very good, but I glad to hear that is improve a lot.  Has they started with the moving platform at the loading area? I guess that was supposed to help with the loading times at Rip Rocket Ride. By any chance to you think they being doing request for new song list in the future? I think that something they can utilize in the future is a request line.

Yes, they did have the moving platform working.  I have never seen it running as smooth.  I am hoping that I didn't just get lucky and it runs this way everyday,  I will keep checking back.

As for the music request, I think it would be a great idea.  Though, with record companies being such pain in the @$^%#, I would be surprised if they could work it out.
