Amusement Radio is a 24/7 online radio station dedicated to bringing you the very best information about the amusement industry.
What will you hear on Amusement Radio? We currently have agreements with...
Behind The Thrills
Coastin' East Amusement Park Podcast
The Season Pass Podcast
During "normal" programing, you will hear episodes from those shows played.
We also produce a couple live shows! I host a Friday night, and a Monday morning show. These shows can be very interactive and we encourage chat-room use, and call-ins.
Also rumored to start very soon, is a game-show like concept, in this show, we will have members of this "roller-coaster community" calling in and answering questions about the past and present history about the amusement industry.
Amusement Radio is still new, and working out some kinks, at times, I may have to take the stream off-line to correct some problems, these downtimes usually do not take very long, and a status report will be posted on the announcement ticker on the website, and in the forums.
Because we are still new, suggestions are welcome! Wether comments about the programing, website, or forum, Id love to get your input on it!
Thanks for reading, and I hope you all get the chance to check out Amusement Radio.
Amusement Radio- Because Life Without Parks, Coasters, and Attractions, is just boring.
We are now broadcasting in stereo sound! No longer a single mono channel, but two channels to produce stereo! This means a few things...
1. Your favorite podcasts will now be played back fully with every effect intact, and not just the "glued" down mono-mix being broadcasted before.
2. Audio will sound more lifelike
3. Amusement Radio Live will now be produced in a more dynamic function, with better ways to present the material during the shows.
I apologize for the delay, but due to a screwed up webhost (they say it is "server trouble") the Amusement Radio website is down, which means no one will be able to access the stream. If it looks like the down time will be awhile, I will post details on how to access the stream directly. I will know by 8oc. And post back then.
UPDATE: Website is down for tonight. You may listen at http://208.53.132.205:8030/ just click listen at the top.
That is a frustrating situation, especially for a new web site. Thanks for posting the direct links to the stream and chat room. Take your time getting the site back up. It's better to have a fully functioning web site rather than a problem filled web site. Keep up the great work! _________________ Hello Everyone!

Thanks for the reply, the website seems to be back up now, though at times it does seem to be slow. My web host said the server I am on has a bug and they are working on it . Anyway, they sent a decent reply to my email asking what was going on, but I am still a little steamed that this happened.
If anyone here knows any DNS/webserver tricks, please let me know!

Oh for the Love of...
...Whatever you want!
Valentines day is almost here, so that means we have to talk about what YOU love about the industry. During the entire show you may call in and shout out what you like abut the industry. Rides, food, parks, or even the name of the park, if it is fun, you can share the love this Friday @ 7:45 EST.

Amusement Radio Wants YOU! Thats right, we want YOU! Now you may be quaking in fear that this is the new draft, but no, this is a voluntary effort. Now for the question...
Have you been to a theme park?
I'm guessing you said yes, so read on!
Amusement Radio is looking for individuals to talk to about their trip! Thats right, no longer do you have to operate a podcast just to get your voice heard, we will do the hard work for you!
What are we really asking? If you are able and willing, please send an email to "daniel@amusementradio.com" and let me know you want to share your trip report. After we send hundreds of emails back and forth trying to setup a date and time, we will connect via telecommunications (telephone or Skype) and talk for no longer than 30-45 min, though if you are nice we may just chat for hours!
While we talk I will ask you a few questions about the park you visited, and the entire conversation will be recorded. After post production the final park report will be about 15-25min long and have some cool music to go with it. Once it is all done, I will contact you with a date and a time for the first airing of your report on Amusement Radio. After that scheduled airing, your segment will air at random times in the official playlist.
Isn't that cool?
Any requirements? Not really, I will talk to anyone, but I would prefer someone that does not work at the park, or have their own podcast. And of course, the Amusement Radio guidelines do apply with no cussing, or remarks about stuff that is not family friendly.
