More video release showing the land and the ride line que. It's really looks cool. I sure this is not just a land of a experience on to it self. Take it look for yourself in these videos.
Looks really interesting. I'm hoping to squeeze a trip to Orlando in later on this year, but I may have to wait till next year. I just hope this lives up to all the hype _________________ New Orleans Saints Super Bowl XLIV Champions!
This loooks amazing. I saw an aerial shot (can't remember where from which is a shame) but the building The Forbidden Journey is in is insane! It is so large.
I was in Orlando over Christmas and checked out the construnction and was blown away. The only slight point I could make that's of a negative nature is that the perspective is really odd. I can't remember the word, but where the buildings are smaller as they get to the top. What Disney do down Main Street with their buildings, where the second floor will be smaller. Hogwarts seem to maybe do that a bit too much. From a distance it looked incredible, but closer up it looked a bit too small in perspective.
I have to say this is almost invalid since Hogsmeade looks so awesome, and no doubt the ride will be staggering. Heck, I wana get back to the States just to get in the queue! It looks amazing.
Forced perspective, is the phrase you are looking for. I don't know what the castle looks like from the air, but it looks great from the ground. I have been as close as they will let you get right now and it looks great from there.. Can't wait to see inside. _________________
Hogwarts is now allowing Muggle visitors. Universal IOA is soft opening the Wizarding World of Harry Potter to regualr day guests (for a few hours in the morning).
Saturday June 5 I was able to get into Hogsmeade and Hogwats Castle. All the things I have heard about the Wizarding World were true. Universal has set a new standard in themed entertainment. I will not give any spoilers in my review.
They allowed us in about 8:45 and started closing things about 10am to try to get everyone out by noon. First, we rode the Forbidden Journey ride. I still can't really describe what this ride is, but I can say there is nothing close to it, that I have ridden. My next favorite dark ride, Spiderman is a couple of levels below this new ride. We got there at 8:30 and it was still an hour wait to get on the ride. I am not a fan of waiting, but the castle is so amazing, I didn't mind. Most of the theming, is in the last half hour of the queue, but everything is well done.
We had breakfast in Hogsmeade, it was a little pricey($15 per person), but very tasty and a cool restaurant. We had Butterbeer, both with breakfast and later from the cart. Like everything else, the Butterbeer is amazing.
We saw the wand selection show in Ollivanders and rode Fight of the Hippogriff. Ollivanders is fun show that dumps you into a wand store . The Flight of the Hippogriff is mostly the same as it was before with some well done themeing and a Hippogriff animatronic.
Even though the Wizarding World only has 3 rides and one restaurant and a couple of shows, it is worth the price of admission by itself.
Awww, Man that looks so cool. I bet the ride was really cool. I heard reviews that it's intense at times. Man that looks so cool to see. So, how much are they charging for the merchandise? It looks really good, and some say only unique to the park. Also, are people starting to live up in droves at that area. I bet it's going to be a sea of people there. I to hear more about it soon. Great pictures. _________________
The ride is intense. They use that Kuka arm(which you never see) to really well. Your flying bench gets tossed forward, back and pretty far to both sides, but I wouldn't say it is too intense for most people.
There are a lot of people showing up for the soft opening. As I said, I was there at 8:30 and by the time I got to the ride it had a 45 min. wait, that actually took an hour.
Merchandise was really cool. There was a lot of stuff that I would like to buy and I don't buy much Merchadise from parks. It was kind of pricey, but as you said, most of it is unique to the park. _________________
Wow those images are incredible! Cheers for putting them up. This really is the biggest thing to happen to theme parks in such a long time and I can't imagine anything on this scale happening for a while too.
It really looks amazing, it's really good to see such an effort being put into a park, especially considering all the financial issues the economy has had over the construction period. It's amazing how nothing got cut or set back because of it.
