Numerous sources. It's all over the Internet. Lease terms were too onerous.

Doug, aren't you glad you visited this gem last year? Was your assessment - Worst Park Ever - the beginning of the end?

The preceding tongue in cheek of course. The death of any park is a sad thing. When I was thinking of looping from CP to KI and HW, 6FlStL and SFGrAdv, KK was part of the trip.

I should note some reports say it's not quite a done deal, with local politicos working on the problem.

This is very unfortunate for this park, because I think if.... numerous... things were changed within the park, it could've made a good come back. It would've been a process in time, but that park had the potential to be a major park.... maybe this is a good time for someone else to come in and start all over.

It's always sad to see a park go down for good... with that said, I can't say I feel upset about this news.  It was an awful park.

However, my heart goes out to the eight people in Louisville who appreciated this park.  Crying or Very sad

^Alright... Sorry!  Laughing  I'm just having fun with some sad news.  I am disappointed in the fact that this park has to close, but it's ending was written in stone when six flags stopped operating half the park and filed for bankruptcy.

Be honest though, if six flags had to close a park within the chain to help make ends meet, isn't SFKK the first choice on everybody's list?

Haha!!! That was hilarious!

However, if there were one park from the chain to close, then SFKK was the best one to choose, because honestly it's the worse park of them all. So in that light this was a good decision.

I am sad to see any theme park or amusement park close.  SFKK was the fifth best Six Flags park that I have been to.  Since I have only been to four Six Flags parks that isn't saying much, but I did have a good time there and I am sad to see it go.

RIP SFKK
