Its taking a plane ride across the continent to do it, but I'm sure this time I'll get the chance to meet the Season Pass crew.

Your location shows fall right in the middle of a Midwest / East Coast run I'm taking with my son.

We'll see you at BGW on Saturday (come on, take the backstage coaster tour with us!) and then again on Sunday at KD for TPR's East Coast Bash - and the rumored Coaster Podcast Summit.

Our crazy schedule looks something like this:

Tues Aug 17: Six Flags America, then a long drive to Cedar Pt (we fly in and out of Baltimore)
Weds and Thurs Aug 18 and 19: Cedar Pt
Fri Aug 20: Kennywood, then roll east to Busch Gardens
Sat Aug 21: BGW
Sun Aug 22: KD
Mon Aug 23: Hershey Park
Tues Aug 24 : Knoebels am / Dorney Park pm
Weds Aug 25: Six Flags Great Adventure
Thurs Aug 26: A quick stop at Clementon Park then fly home

Who's up for a roadie to the Point?

See you in just a few weeks!

Paul

Plan on giving Knoebels more time than Dorney. It's not the most exciting park in the world, but there is something about it that I absolutely love. They have a big collection of carousel organs (who can resist?) and their main carousel has a brass ring toss. The coasters are both better than you would expect. IDK. When I think about it, I can't describe why I like it so much. Parts of it are kinda run down and the staff isn't very professional; but maybe that's part of the appeal? Dorney is a Cedar Fair park. Done. Don't expect tree's, a happy staff, or good food.

Tap, you need to rework your schedule and try to make it to Virginia.  It would be great to have you there.  If not remember to let me know when you are headed to the Sunshine state.

^^Thanks for the Knoebels advice. That's why we're hitting it first, so we can take as long as we like. I get it - this is a rarity, an anti-corporate park.

I think we're shorting Kennywood too. We'll only have a few hours unless we leave CP early. Whatever, it'll be a blast.

Short Kennywood for CP? I think those you can spend equal time in. Honestly, I do every coaster in CP in 3-4 hours. Kennywood beckons to be relaxed in.

DO NOT got to kennywood without getting Potato Patch french fries. They are amazing. And if you like Beer, PA has america's oldest brewery (Yuengling) and it's the best cheeper beer but you can only buy it in a few states because they can't make it fast enough. And also while in the East, Sheetz gas stations are a way of life. Go inside and order some food, you'll never think of a gas station the same way ever again.
