Sea World Orlando bringing new attractions in the coming years.
In what could be called “the Harry Potter Effect”, Sea World at Orlando went on the offensive by announcing new new worlds for their parks. First up is Turtle Trek, set to open in 2012.

The attraction consist of a giant dome which guest would enter while viewing the story of sea turtle trek though the endless ocean of sea water life. The most unique part of this attraction will be it’s 360 degree encompassing view in 3-D, which guest will be surrounded in while viewing the story. For Sea Worlds next announcement, it’s none other then a addition to their water parks area.
Fresh Water Oasis will be an expansion to their Discover Cover water park. Opening in 2012 as well, this park will recreate the up-and-close experience of rain forest life. Guest will enter a lush rain forest environment and be able to touch and swim with fishes and Asia small clawed-otters(hope they don’t scratch). Much like a lazy river, this area will be more relax and far more personal without having to prep each time you want to into the water. Here’s some concept art for this expansion.

Last but not least of this 3 pong addition and expansion is a new dark ride. Yes, we all love the dark ride. This time heading back to the parks it’s none other then Antarctica - Empire of the Penguin. This dark ride will take over where the penguin exhibit is already at and expand it to include a dark ride and exhibit. Sea World is calling this “the most coldest theme park attraction in the world”, meaning they want to stay true to life in which the penguins live throughout their environment. My guess is that this ride will have windows thought out the attraction so guest won’t freeze to death riding it. Here’s concept of this ride.
I for one what to say something here. THANK GOD for Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal. Without the success there, we would not have gotten all these new attractions and expansion going on these day’s. Harry Potter has brought more people to Orlando and with that more guest which means all these parks have to compete for our dollar which mean we ALL win cause we get to enjoy more great new stuff. I see these Sea World attraction as the best of new ideas and more push to our future on immerse entrainment.
