Here's a request I want to say.  We need to hear from the profession Women of the theme park industry.  I know we heard from fans, wives, and hostess, but what about the women that work in the industry.  I love to hear what a women prospect on how to handle roller coaster design, theme park rides, attractions shows, or business side of the industry.  So, bring on the women.

Whoaaa, Let me show some respect here. Sorry, Please let's hear from the profession women from the industry. I think it's a story that we don't hear much from. Here's a example of one here and it's Mary Blaire better know a one of the first Women of WED enterprise and designer of It's a Small World character.

^Stingray... it's like you're reading our minds... that or secretly listening to our pre-production meetings.  Laughing

We are currently working with a couple of women within the industry to be future guests on the show.  Very cool!

Great Request My Friend!

BTW- I sent out your package a few days ago, let me know when you get it. Wink

I'd actually be interested in hearing from someone who does the building of the environments, if you know what I mean.  I know I am a technical nerd, but I see the way the actual mountains and ride exteriors, etc. are put together and detailed and would be really keen to hear more about the process...

Probably just me though.

I'd actually be quite interested in this too. I've seen a couple specials on the Travel Channel and read a couple books about how Disney has designed some of their mountains and I think it would be awesome to try and get some of the, I guess you would call them "Environment Builders(?)" Razz

Mark Shapiro can't be doing anything important.  You should see if you can get him to come on over from Coaster Radio.

Kidding aside, I would want another coaster designer.  They seem to be less ascessible, but Korey Kiepert gave a great interview.

Anybody that you guys have on makes a great show; keep it up!  Very Happy

First off, triggernel, Welcome to the Discussion Boards!  Make yourself at home. Wink

You're right, we do need to have another Coaster Designer on the show.  We'll work on that!

Thanks for the request!

I'd like to hear an overview of how the process is different between all the parks. For example, what does Disney look for in budgeting that Universal does differently, or what happens during the initial design phase that's different from when they're actually drafting a show. Basically, I want to know what the progression from concept to daily operations is like; what steps are taken to get a show running?
