I am planning a trip from July 13-15th to go up north to check out my possible future school at CSUMB (Monterey Bay) and will be visiting the boardwalk later at night for thier 1907 SUMMER NIGHTS where everything is only 75 cents!!! really hot down there
universal was great (the mummy there is SO much better than the one here in california) i actually enjoyed the studios a lot more than i thought i would. i expected to really just want to spend all my time at islands of adventure but that wasnt the case. had a blast with the men in black and that is easily one of my favorite shooter rides now.
unfortunately rip ride rockit wasnt open so i didnt get to ride that Sad

After leaving early from SFKK we drove to Kings Island near Cincinnati to get in a few night rides. I started off with their new B&M hyper, Diamondback. It offered loads of airtime, but nothing more so I was a bit let down by it. I understand that the primary purpose of a hyper is to provide nice floaty air, but the ride just felt too redundant after the mid course... My impression of this park may be a bit skewed since it followed two amazing days at Holiday World. But it is probably still at least fairly accurate... anywho, I drove to Louisville Sunday morning to pick up my Six Flags season pass at the little park. The park opened at 11 am and I was the only person who ran to a ride, so I was easily the first to Chang, which is known as the best stand up coaster out there. I was able to get 3 rides on it by myself before anyone else showed up.

Thursday evening we pulled into Santa’s Lodge in Santa Claus, IN after a fun day at Beech Bend Park in Bowling Green, KY. We got a solid night of sleep in preparation for what we knew would be 2 exhausting days.

Wednesday was our day to venture to the elderly haven of Branson, MO to tackle Silver Dollar City, home of Wildfire and Powder Keg. Well we got on the road a bit later than intended yesterday morning, leaving Ames around 7:30 am. The weather in Kansas City was forecast to consist of lightning and thunder all day so I honestly wasn't in too much of a hurry to get down there.
