Hey Everyone! We are getting a few questions about the “Controversial” quote I used to describe the Barry Braverman interview in episode 75.
Here’s a thread that started in the Show Notes Topic and I moved the discussion to here:

Hey Doug,
What was so controversial about the Barry Braverman interview that you all had to straighten stuff out about it on the Disney boards?

I'd like to know too. Great interviews - you should be proud. I can't wait to see who else you have lined up.
About a week after episode 28 was released, The Blue Sky Disney Blog wrote a review of our interview and some opinions of Mr. Braverman’s work (most of it positive). Episode 28 became a huge piece of conversation on Disney Discussion Boards throughout the internet, the most ecstatic coming from MiceChat. To put it mildly, some Disney fans believe Disney’s California Adventure is a mistake. I personally interacted with a few from the MiceChat Forum community to put in my “2 Cents” which is that Barry Braverman is an amazing individual and overall made the Disney Park experience better (even though I did find Superstar Limo a flop as well) for all of us. Unfortunately, the discussion thread no longer exists, however there were all kinds of opinions on the board – heated and cordial. Anyway, the Disney Fan’s were very passionate with their opinions and it turned out to be a wonderful experience. So, when I say Controversial, it was not used in a negative stance… there was just a lot of opinions out on the boards.
With all that being said though, I personally can’t recognize the whole “The Parking Lot is better than DCA” argument as a reasonable proclamation. I still have not heard a plausible pronouncement that supports the benefits of “A Parking Lot” over “A Second Gate.”

Ah, that explains it. I agree - that 'Passholder Lounge' is a fun place to hang out even if it is no Disneyland, and so much more entertaining than a parking lot. DCA is a bear to get around these days with all the construction, a situation that should last quite a while. I'm looking forward to the improvements.

Hahaha Passholder lounge! I think DCA will be absolutely amazing once they're finished... of course, nothing will ever beat Disneyland.
