A mix between the conversation between Nick Hutson and John Tartaglia and my own experience working rides has inspired this thread.
Basically, if you had any ride (coaster, flat ride, etc.) that you were given a week to train on and operate, which would it be?
Just a hint, a typical flatride like a Chance Morgan Frisbee can take less than an hour to learn, whereas most Disney rides take a few days. Coasters can take a few days as well.
I'll give you mine:
I would love to learn The Incredible Hulk at Islands of Adventure in Florida. It's a one-of-a-kind B&M that (I've heard) is nicely themed. _________________ A Skittle and a Pony-Boy! I love Knott's!
i think itd be pretty cool to learn how to operate space mountain because doesnt it have some sort of complex like 6-train thing.
it just seems like that would be a very unique coaster operating experience _________________
If I didn't have a small fear of heights, I would have to say the Big Shot. Not much of a ride, but being on top of the Stratosphere tower and looking down on Vegas from 900 feet everyday would be amazing. _________________
The Twilight Zone: Tower of Terror... that is easily my #1 pick!
I take mine back, that reminds me of haunted mansion. I want to be able to work at Disney without being all smiles all day! _________________ Follow me on Twitter!Click to view my Twitter
I like to conduct Disney RailRoad train. I think of this ride as a lazy river of rides. All you have to do is sit back and pull the horn. This seems a little old fashion but who didn't want to conduct a train when they were a kid. You get to see pretty scenery even if it's the same all over again, but you don't have to really sit there while others enjoy the ride. You become part of the ride and control it without leaving you chair.
The Great Movie Ride would be an alt choice just to got though movies scenes and interact with the set like the Jungle Cruise ride is. Or Soarin
Hey on The Great Movie Ride is there a Marry Poppins scene. There is Nick
s Marry Poppins dark ride right there. I know it's cheap, but hey I wanted Aliens to be a dark ride too.
I admit my love for thrill rides would be crushed by my need for attention and I would have to say something like the Great Movie Ride. What? You get tired of always being behind the camera hahah!
Wait.. if I say Maelstrom.. does that mean I get to hang out with hot Norwegian chicks all day.. is it too late to change my answer...
