Comic Con is over and Oh boy there was some stuff to see. Now I’m a comic geek from back in day and I have 1st issues of Todd McFarlane Spider-Man, Jim Lee X-Men story lines and DC return issue of Superman and Batman Nightfall, but comic con is more then just comics it’s about Film, TV, and all geek and fantasy, Scifi, and future stuff. So, first it’s none other than Tron Legacy. Yes, Tron is back and this may be the one film where all my hopes and dreams of a Tron ride can come true only if the new film box office performance is big. I’m not much for film and TV spoilers because I want to be surprise when I go see it. So, I just focus on what they reveal and let the other guy’s spoil the rest of it. Tron is going to be big I mean really big. As they going to release it in Imax 3-D too. Now I’m a big fan of Imax, I saw the Dark Knight, Star Trek, Star War’s Attack of the Clones, and the Superman return 3-D. I love the format and I really can’t wait to see how Tron will look in Imax 3-D. Now video release of last year test footage is been show on the web just to get an idea of what the film will look like. Here it is.
Now Tron had a setup of an old style arcade called Flynn’s arcade. How retro and big called back to the film. Here the video, but check out the lightcycle they reveal at the end.
Now the music you hearing from the lightcycle video is from the new movie score. It’s done by Daft Punk who is a group I’m enjoy lately. I’m into electronic music genre and l love this music I really going for the soundtrack when it comes out it pumping with a bass heavy temp jam mix. Tron looks to be a winner. It’s got cool effects, hot women, great music, oringnal cast and new direction it’s a looking to be a hit for Disney. Now for Tron the ride.

Now I know I’m jumping ahead, but if they are making the movie WDI must be already in concept design for a ride of some kind. I can’t wait to hear how that going to be and a video game too. Yes, I know there was one before, but with today’s console and pc power I see a new type of game to hit the ground soon. He did anybody know that there was a Tron ride sort of. I think Doug mention this way back in the podcast history, but Disneyland people movie you know the TTA for us Magic Kingdom forks had a stop at the Tron game room. We too here at Epcot had a Tron type of ride as part of another ride. Before Test Track, it was the World of Motion and at the end of the ride where movie screens come up there is footage from Tron that was used for the ride future ending. Here the video just skip ahead 3:20 mins. . Link
By the way, why haven’t Disneyland brought back the people mover. I mean we have the Magic Kingdom TTA why can’t they just bring that old style back. I hear the track is still there. It seems like a waste.
So that about it for Tron but there was more. Oh btw there is another movie sequel like Tron coming soon that is one I looking forward to in a big way. The Last Starfighter.
The show new footage and trailer to Alice. That Tim Burton version of Alice in Wonderland live action. Check out the trailer.
Another retro show from the 80’s is getting the remake treatment. V is coming back. Now V was a great show that went downhill somewhat when the TV series was later introduce. But now V is back and done in the same line like the Battlestar Galactica.
Book of Eli is a Mad Max style movie with Denzel Washington directed by a favorite films makers the Huges Brothers. They did movies like From Hell, Dead Presidents, and Menace II Society. Link
Other movies they had looks for was Iron Man 2, Solomon Kane a movie based on a story by Robert E. Howard who created Conan and Red Sonja. The Box a Cameron Diaz movie based on a old Twilight Zone episode, the remake to Sherlock Holmes that looks really interesting (I want to check this out). Comic book hero Jonah Hex is getting the movie treatment.
A lot of things were shown or talk about. Like Twilight: New Moon, a 300 sequel, Buck Rogers, The Hobbit (which by the way when are we going to hear about Lord of the rings something for the theme park) the Green Hornet movie, Disney 3D Jim Carrey A Christmas Carol, Video game turn big movie Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, Roger Rabbit 2. Of course there a lot of talk of a movie that suppose to change the industry. James Cameron Avatar. A lot was shown but have to wait to see official trailer and video links.
There was a lot of announcement made like Halo anime, Gear’s of War movie, The story to Asteroid the movie (yes the making a movie based on Asteroid the video game), Iron Man 2 the video game, lot’s of pic and info on the Avatar video game, the final season of LOST, oh a small little film called Batman 3.
Well is everybody excited with what’s coming out.Tron, Iron Man 2, Battlestar, even Futurama is coming back.
How this for guns. This game totes that it can have up to 1 million type of gun’s. This comic con video tell it all. I must try to attend next year’s comic con, and bring everybody a trip report. Link
Great report Stingray! It's crazy how BIG ComicCon is now. I am So pumped for the new Tron and Alice movies. Take those and add Prince of Persia and Toy Story 3... 2010 looks like a great year for Disney Movies.
