It was great having Mr. Testa on the show! Always good to hear about Disney and hear all those neat facts about the resorts and so on. I see the Unofficial Guide in some books stores every now and then... I might have to buy a copy next time. Looking forward to the next time he's on the show!

Holy Crap, man. I stayed at the Red Roof Inn in Kissimmee. The one near the bridge close to the Publix. Oh man, well I just needed a place to pass out. I wasn’t like going to stay there for a long period of time. Most of my early and late time was at the parks and so that place wasn’t a somewhere to hang out at. I can tell you this that place hasn’t improve that much. There is smell coming from all over the hotel and in the water too. Well that's what I get for doing Orlando parks on a budget, but man this eek me out. Oh the picture of a credit card reader attached to the Coke machine on my trip review. It's from that Red Roof Inn.
Great guest I heard him on other Disney podcast and he’s a treat to listen too very smart. I like it when math and social science is used in analysis studies. I'm glad his doing a Disneyland guide I going to check it out. It looks to be a good source of info and should help with my plan Disneyland trip. I hope Kindle version will come out soon. I getting big into the e-reader with the iphone and new Kindle.
Yeah, those iphone wait time apps aren’t the most reliable in the world. I tried one for the Disney park and I was off my hour’s. They all depend on people updating and it’s not all stable after the 3.0 firmware update. I wish the used the parks had a feed that can be access with a iphone or other phones there was more official.
Hey John Hughes died. Man what is up this year. I can’t give over the people will losing. I seeing rides going away. It’s sad. I love his movies. Who can’t forget the Vacation movies. I lol at the scene where Clark punch the moose at Walley World aka Magic Mountain. It just goes to show you how funny real life can be. Good show.
What a geek I am! Hearing how Len and his crew approach their guidebook research in thorough, analytical fashion was very enjoyable. I hope you'll have him back soon. Loved the hotel stories even though they creep me out because travel is one of those things you just have to do.
Our family made a whirlwind, last minute trip to Disneyworld last year just days before the Thanksgiving rush (missed you by a couple weeks Doug). The Unofficial Guide was a great resource. When every minute counts, information is your friend. I wouldn't dream of going without the Guide.
At the time, I was pumping through Disneyworld podcasts and discovered two regular, reliable programs. WDW Today was one of them. I like the spirit of that show so much, it has a permanent place on my media player even though I'm not likely to get back to Orlando anytime soon. The other one is a distant memory.
Thanks again Brent and Doug for yet another quality show.
Once again, awesome show! Thanks so much Doug and Brent! With hotel experiences, I remembered my first year where my friend and I signed up for a couple of days stay at the (then) Disney Institute in the 90s. We stayed at the Villas near the Institute and it was very nice! Even though our stay on the Disney resort grounds ended, We still had one more day to go to a Disney park, so on our last day, we decided to stay at one of the budget hotels off of Hwy 192.
I still remember the hotel we were in..the Monte Carlo. One incident was when we were rushing to get out to to the parks. I opened the door and off came the entire door knob! It was kind of funny to us then because we knew it was one of those obvious ("for the price we paid for it") moments.
Nevertheless, we were just excited to be in Florida.
A nice show, really loved it... getting me already in the holiday spired.
Got the book through mail today, ordered it directly after hearing the show.
Got trip to orlando planned from the 15th of september to 1st of october. Hopefully it give me some handy tips for during my stay.
