Rumor has starting poping up that Captain EO is looking to return to Disneyland, CA. Miceage reports that at D23 Expo will have a announcement about Captain EO return to the park. Awesome, I hope Disney World, FL will also see this return too. If not, I would make a special trip to Disneyland just to see it again.

Oh my gosh, I hope so!! I saw Captain EO when I was 7 or 8 and I don't remember it at all, I would so love to see it again!! I would love for my kids to see it too!!
I too hope it will return to Epcot. Honey I Shrunk the Audience, was interesting when it first opened, but I doubt most kids now a days have even seen any of the movies.
I'm not greedy, I would settle for the movie, with minimal effects put back in the theater. It would get me back into the Magic Eye Theater, where I haven't been in about 8 years.
I remember Captain EO very well, (as well as Magic Journeys, Captain EO's predecessor), and would love to see it on the big screen again. _________________
Has it been officially announced? I'm listening to Inside the Magic right now and if I remember right he said it will be back for sure. _________________

But yeah, it sounds like they are thinking about it only that I might get a redo type of treatment like the Star Wars Special Edition that came up in the 90's.
Look's to be some special effect works is what's need to spurs it up to today's crowd. Maybe we get some new scenes that was cut from the org. one.
But if you been following D23 expo then no Capt Eo news came out. Oh we have to wait some more _________________

The Hollywood reported and other news outlet are reporting that Captain EO will return. The success of "This is it" movie it seems Disney is ready to bring back a special restore version of Captain EO. Reports states that Disneyland will be the only chance to catch EO as it might have a limited run from January to April. So, looks like my plans to visit Disneyland now has a time frame set. I think they should do a special edition where they retouch the special effects and maybe add deleted scenes like they did for Star Wars special edition. Or maybe not I remember some things that I didn't like in those edition. Well we see. Great news now lets hope it comes back to Epcot too. Us East coast want's EO return too. Here's the link.

Disney Parks Blog has given the official word. Capt. EO will return at Disneyland on Feb, 2010 for a limited time. WOW. I really hope it's a big successes with all the fans and west coast peeps. Here at the east coast we would like a chance to get to see it at Epcot too. Please all you west coast peeps have this be a big hit so we can see it back at Epcot, I love to see it were I first saw it so long ago. Hey MarkE, I remember you wrote that you never got a chance to see it. Well looks like this is your chance. How about it guy's E_tapley, Wylder, all of the guy's maybe we can have a meetup at Disneyland for a Season Pass meet with Doug. Check out EO and enjoy a historic park. Well I going make some time and money for a little trip to California.
Hey, has there ever been a Disney retire attractions ever come back. Man, image if they brought back some old attraction only update. I would love to see Horizons, Mr. Toad, 20,000 leagues under the sea, or this is your fav Doug, Adventures in Innerspace. How about the People Mover@Disneyland. I heard that could be the next Tron ride. Well here's too EO return. Now bring it to Epcot.

BTW - Doug thanks ep. 106 where you rec Mr. Sherman song's. There was one that I totally forgot about. Magic Journey. I remember that 3-D flim at Epcot and the song brought be back to that dream like film. I remember the witch from that film so got me I jump out of my seat. Did you ever see that film. I think it was playing at Disneyland before Capt. EO stated in '87?
I remember something that Nick Hutson said about Captain EO that brought this to mind from Family Guy.

Here's the first photo I saw of Captain EO return to Disneyland Magic Eye theater. Proof that it's return is any time soon. Check you the wording Tribute by Kodak.
