Among the many renovations being planned for DCA, this makes me pretty excited. The demo of the Lightning McQueen animatronic is pretty cool. a preview of the Radiator Springs Racers attraction was at D23. This is going to use an similar but enhanced ride system that Test Track uses. Add to that the theming, rock work, and animatronics like this and I will have to plan to visit the west coast when this is finished.

From an animator/designer's standpoint, I can now see why the Cars characters were designed with their eyes in the windshield area (instead of using conventional headlights for eyes). The various eye expressions are really cool. You can't help but be drawn to them. The projection system with the actual car looks seemless.

After the Mr. Potato Head in Toy Story Mania, this is one step above that. This really makes me want to visit Disney California Adventure even more. Car lands has got to be the biggest type of attraction that Disney is undergoing. I love the end of test track and I think this ride could be the best out there in theme and experience. That car mouth and eyes are so cool to look at. You don't really see the lines or breaks. It' like it comes to life in a very surreal way. I kinda hope that we would get car lands here at Hollywood studios, but I don't it since Iger has come off saying that most new attractions would be specialize place to there parks. You know I got an idea of what Universal might combat Car lands with and it's pretty similar in concept too. If Universal isn't working on it yet, they should. Maybe I should do a concept of this to share with the Season Pass. Thanks there. you got me thinking.
