This is pretty cool. Well here my list, but there some things I'll just might hold off until next year. ohhh!
Disneyland/DCA - Winter or spring time frame. Big things beside first time there. Seeing Captain EO again and World of Color.
Busch Gardens - Summer time frame. Going out there to curse them out for ripping Big Bad Wolf.
Kings Dominion - Summer time frame. Taking a ride on Intimidator 305, the Millennium Force of the east coast.
Carowinds - Summer time frame. Another ride on a Intimidator. Hmmm, these things are cropping up everywhere like wheat.
Kennywood - Summer time frame. Checking out this new LSM coaster "Sky Rocket". Hope is better then Hypersonic XL at KD had.
Hersey Park - Summer time frame. First time at the park. Also, Chance called it the sweetest place on earth. The Willy Wonka of America.
Wizardry World of Harry Potter - Summer time frame. This place is going to be so busy.
Universal Studios Orlando/IOA - Fall. Halloween Horror Night for 2010. It will be interesting to see how things will be without Michael Roddy no longer running the show.
Christmas Town Busch Gardens - Holiday. Italy will be new to see open
Tron Legacy Imax 3D - This is as close as we get to a Tron ride. Hope the movie is good.
Possible plan trip for 2010
Universal Studios Singapore - Being a Battlestar Galactica fan, I must check out the coaster the only Battlestar ride to come out since Hollywood ending it's ride in '92. I'm surprise Theme Park Review isn't planning a trip there. I would consider going with them just to go to Universal Singapore.
Universal Hollywood - First time there and want to see King Kong open up. I love Kongfrontation back in Orlando. Miss that ride a lot.
Disneyland - Fall. Checking out Ghost Galaxy only if the Magic Kingdom doesn't do anything here. I really want to experience this theme.
Ghost in the Sky - This coaster is being in and out since it open. So, Maybe it happen this year.
Epcot - Holiday. If this going to happen I'm going to see how Sum of all Fears is. I've had nice chat with a cast member at Disney Quest last year about this. She really said this was worth it. She also a big coaster and TTA Fan. Wow, she too good to be true.
But the more importantly. The Season Pass meet up. Looking forward to meeting all the members of the Season Pass community.
Hey, Wylder. I hope you get a chance to check up Harry Potter during there test soft opening. I really want to know what that ride is going to be like. Hope to hear you on the show with all the details. _________________
Looks like you are going to be getting around this year.
Yes, I plan to check out Harry Potter as soon as they start letting people in. With IOAs track record of theming (best of any park in this country), I think Potter will be amazing.
You mentioned the Season Pass meet up, will you be at West Coast Bash? That is the only one I thing Doug has mentioned in the podcast. If so I look forward to meeting you. I am going to try to make all of the meet ups though. _________________
I plan on making it to the usuals:
Dollywood
Holiday World
Try to make it to:
Cedar Point
King's Island
Universal & IOA
Not a big list this year but there might be some more... hopefully! I think across the board all most all of the coaster enthusiast are trying to make it to IOA this year for Harry Potter. Man oh man will IOA be packed this year! _________________
We dropped our Disneyland passes. Sundays, passholder days, are just too busy. We were ready to change things up anyhow, so we spent the money on Knott's / Cedar Fair Platinum Passes. We have some traveling in mind.
But first, West Coast Bash at Magic Mt. I hope to say hello to some of you there. Universal Hollywood and Sea World are already in the bag.
Late June was set aside for a big roller coaster road trip out east, something I've always wanted to do. Our plans have hit a snag. The lady of the house can't take a summer vacation, so we're off to Orlando for what I expect to be a busy spring break. We're coming in about a week and a half before Easter.
We'll do the grand tour, with first rides on Manta, Kraken, Sheikra, and Hollywood RRR (Primeval Whirl too), plus revisit old favorites. I bet we miss Potterville by weeks. Advice on how to work around the crowds gladly received. We're Disney vets, so we know all about rope drop and probably every Fastpass trick. $$$$$$, Orlando tix are expensive like no other. Now I know how our own local tourists feel.
Then a dash to the Bay Area from San Diego for California's Great America and the wonderful Six Flags Discovery Cove in that late original June window, but downsized to a long weekend. Odds are good we'll detour a bit to Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk.
Finally, my son and I will hit the coaster trail in the week leading up to Labor Day. Our road trip should look like this, starting and ending in Pittsburgh:
Cedar Pt (first time to Magic Mt's coaster crown rival; )
Knoebels (1st; is this the year for Flying Turns?)
Dorney (1st)
Six Flags Great Adventure (went last year; El Toro's too good to miss!)
Busch Williamsburg
King's Dominion (1st time; Dominator!)
Six Flags America (1st time; for SROS)
Kennywood (1st; Skyrocket)
This isn't typical for us. I doubt we'll do anything like this again, but who knows? With a bit of luck we'll pull it off. Again, suggestions gladly accepted.
Sounds like a fun year, it also looks like we could run into each other a couple of times. I will be at West Coast Bash in March.
I live and hour from Orlando, so I could see you there and depending on when you are at BGW and King's Dominion, I may be there. I am going to try to make the Season Pass event there in the fall.
Don't know how much I can help, but I can give you some tips about getting around Orlando. Just hit me up at West Coast Bash. _________________

It'll be hard to top last year's event. WCB was so good, flying cross-country makes sense. I'm looking forward to saying hello.
Our Orlando attack is nearly all plotted out. Yes, I'm one of THEM, a hyper planner. I believe it pays off during peak periods. We get in late March 25, leaving in the evening on April Fool's Day. I hope to marathon Manta via Quick Queue that final morning. Got to compare it with Tatsu. Otherwise I don't want to bore anyone with day to day attack plans.
King's Dominion should be Sept 2, with BGW the next day. Or vice-versa. See you soon!
