@Movie Line
riding the smoke monster coaster

Anybody LOST fan here. Well big rumor coming out that with Lost reaching the end that a Lost attractions is in the works. Movie Line has reported that a mole inside Disney found WDI on a concept Lost attraction ride using the robo coaster arm. Like this one picture here.

What does everybody think about this ride? Is it worth it?  Is Lost too much of a inside show to make into a attraction. I don't know, but I finding this way to good to pass up.

Here's the link to the story.

On one hand, I'd be thrilled to see a Lost ride, particularly an E-ticket attraction with good money spent on it.

However, using the technology in the vein of The Sum of All Thrills doesn't sound like the best idea.  I'd be a lot more excited about some type of thrilling dark ride with detailed interior theming and some surprises.

Either way, I'd much rather see this than another attraction on par with the lame American Idol show.

Well looks like a head honcho at Disney as squash this rumor. Saying no, to any Lost attraction or changes to Disneyland Tom island.

But yeah, Century3 I agree American Idol is a lame attraction.  I think they miss the boat on this fad way to late.

With the Narnia going away, I would love to see more ride attractions at Hollywood studios. I would want to see more Star War rides.  I know Star Tours redone is coming, but they could enplaned to more rides like a Jedi ride or Indiana Jones ride from Disneyland.  I remember hearing rumors that Monster Inc, coaster was in the works for 2009, but was cut when last quarter reports showed a loss in profit at the parks

Here's a link to the No Lost attraction statement.

That's too bad about the Lost ride.  I have a feeling that Disney isn't going to do much beyond the California Adventure upgrades and new WDW Fantasyland at this point.

I definitely agree about the Hollywood Studios.  That park has a bit more with Toy Story Mania there, but it's still a bit thin and has tons of unrealized potential.

I can see a LOST attraction being popular for a couple of years, however if Disney is going to invest in a major project like that they'll grab a brand with longevity - ie: Pixar or Classic Disney Cinema.

You make a good point.  This actually is the same issue as American Idol, where Disney added an attraction well beyond the peak of its popularity.  With Lost starting it's final season next week, the shelf life for this attraction would be really limited.
