Hey Doug,
This was one of the best imagineer interviews I have heard yet. A big help getting me through long nights of painting miniatures. In any case, the interview was less like an interview and more like a session of story telling. It was like having a conversation with Tim. Thanks again for bringing this to us.
I was never a huge fan of DCA but after listening to Tim speak of it, I definitely have a new appreciation and will look at it different when I get out there again. I think this time it will be worth the 18 hours of flight time to get there.

Anyway, great to hear you enjoyed the podcast. I'm excited that Tim's story of creating DCA reached you, because I, personally, find a charm in the park that many don't. Of course, I completely understand why so many people find the park to be lame and unoriginal, but I think Tim hit it on the head stating that it's a "tribute" to California's past amusements. For someone like me, growing up w/ Cali's past amusements, I find something pleasing about my experiences at DCA.

I think my experience there was tainted by the fact that I had a limited amount of time and my camera gear was stolen. Otherwise who knows what the experience might have been like. I do have to admit that there were a few rides that WDW doesn't have that made it pretty cool and the Blue Sky Cellar was (for a geek like me) very sweet! I guess it retrospect I actually did enjoy it a bit.. hmmm
The biggest saving grace for me for DCA.. corn dogs... seriously. I can not get corn dogs in this country (New Zealand) so we ate the hell out of them when we got there... for that alone I have a quiet, but true respect for DL and DCA. _________________ Sometimes you eat the bear, sometimes the bear eats you... Yeah... that sounds like a pretty cruddy experience. You're cracking me up on the Corn Dogs. I guess it's something that I've always taken for granted... but to think of it, I can't think of a life without corn dogs... that's getting close to hell bro! _________________ Doug Barnes

Another great interview with Tim Delaney. I think he could talk for hours about single attractions he's designed and remain intriguing. For someone who's worked on so much, he seems really humble too.
I've never been to DCA (my only Disneyland visit was as a kid in '85), but I'm getting more interested. His comments describe a lot of interesting theming (I originally expected it was more like the Paris Studios, which is very bland). And like you guys mentioned already, the World of Color has me intrigued.
I agree Century. Listening definitely made me want to go back with fresh eyes and check the park out again. Maybe you could start a Tim Delaney's Past Projects podcast, I'd subscribe.
As for DCA, 8 days and counting till I can see what he was talking about. Can't wait.
